This is the 2013-S Kennedy 50C Half Dollar, which post dated the Benjamin Franklin Silver Half Dollar in .900 silver, a staple of the US Coin Collecting Market. The Franklin Half Dollar (in circulated grades known as junk silver), came after the .900 US Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollar, a classic in the coin collecting world. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was the perfect follow up by Adolph Weinman, prompted by Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt, to the rather unsightly Barber Half Dollar. The Barber Half Dollar, created by Charles Barber, was a rather explosive turning point in the US Coin Collecting Market. Charles Barber, of course, arch foe of the famous George Morgan, and the great Augustus St. Gaudens.
This 1939-S Lincoln Wheat Cent is one that is great for a Coin Standard holder. While the coin isn't terribly rare, even the most basic 1939-S 1C Cent in MS67 RD can be quite the piece of eye candy when displayed properly.
The Lincoln Cent is a facsinating element of US nostalgia, as every young American man began his collecting career with the old whitman year set. While some collectors enjoy the boring ways of collecting .999 silver, .9999 silver, pure gold or 90% pre-1933 gold, everyone has a fond affection for the ways of the real-deal collector's Lincoln Cent 1C, due to it's easy availability and the fact that it has always been available in pocket change. This PCGS 1C Lincoln Cent Type 1 Proof is graded as a PR66 RB Red Brown, as opposed to a PR65 or a PR64 Brown cent. This is a great example of a scarce, toned US American coin that is displayed in The Coin Standard.
Not only are graded, or authenticated while placed in plastic acrylic, a slab that is good as a gift, but this is a coin that looks down right terrific displayed. While inexpensive, a PR70 DCAM ANACS coin can be a tremendous stunner while displayed properly.
This MS70, Choice Gem Brilliant Uncirculated example of a modern .999 fine US Silver Eagle is a particularly good example of a 1986 to 2022 set that can be assembled and displayed using The Coin Standard.
This WIDE AM is a variety coin that can be a real stunner in the right case. Some collectors, or numismatists as they are known in the field of numismatics, collect graded coins by variety. While variety attribution can be extremely expensive to have formally graded by a third party coin grading company, aftermarket plastic/acrylic coin slabs can be an affordable alternative in a pinch. A nice collection of the right varieties can look great when holdered in the right environment.
This 1927 Australian Florin is a real stunner! With lovely toning, even this aftermarket crack slab can bring out the real beauty of a coin, especially when presented by The Coin Standard.
